  Good evening to each of you. Tonight I have an update on missions to a particularly sensitive area of the world. I have redacted names and location to protect those who are faithfully laboring to spread the gospel of Christ and other Christian resources that are in desperate need. Mission Report July 20, 2020   Dear beloved Friends: On July 8th my wife called the ambulance to rush me to the emergency room at the hospital because I had difficulty breathing. My daughter was informed, and she at once called our close coworkers to pray for my situation. The doctor soon diagnosed that it was not COVID19.   Good afternoon everyone... I am posting an update from missionaries to Antofagasto, Chile that our church supports. This husband and wife team have both praises and prayer requests to share. I believe it is helpful for all of us to see what our missionaries face so that we remember them in prayer because they sacrifice so much. The Time Is Short 1 Corinthians 7 is a chapter full of interesting principles and applications of theological truths. While Paul admits that neither marriage nor singleness is commanded or forbidden by God (v. 28), he says we all ought to think seriously about our lives, because our time is limited. We ought to live as immigrants and foreigners in this life, because the world’s system is passing away. Therefore, we shouldn’t allow our relationships to entangle us (v. 29) nor our emotions to dominate us (v. 30). Good morning We are going to read about a truly remarkable record of Jesus raising a man from the dead, who had been buried for 4 days. It was a powerful testimony of Jesus' deity and this narrative shows the lovingkindness of our Savior, Jesus Christ.  Martha tells her sister Mary that Jesus called for her. John 11:28-29  And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee.  29) As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him.  From the texts that we have studied, it is clear Mary and Martha loved each other and loved their deceased brother. They seemed to have been a very close family.  Martha finished speaking with Jesus and returned home where mourners had gathered while Mary was  mourning and in contemplation. Good Morning to each one of you. We were blessed with a great Lord's Day together with our church family. When the service was over the sky was filled with beautiful, deep slate colored storm clouds.  It began to rain shortly after arriving at home and we really needed it. I am always reminded how rain and water are pictures of the Word of God (See Deuteronomy 32:1-4; Isaiah 55:1-11; Ephesians 5:25). Lazarus died, grieving was going on.  John 11:17-19  Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the grave four days already.  18) Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off:  19) And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother.  In this text we see that by the time Christ came to Bethany in response to the sisters message, Lazarus had died and had been buried for 4 days.  Jerusalem was only about 2 miles from Bethany so  Jesus was close by and could have gone to Bethany much sooner th...

  Good morning to everyone.  Our heavenly Father is continuing to propel this Bible study blog to places around the world that I never imagined His Word going to. This should encourage each of us to faithfully communicate God's truth to other people because God will always honor and empower His word as it is shared. May we remain faithful in studying, obeying and sharing the Words of life. Today we move into a chapter where Jesus is going to raise a man from the dead. This was a dear friend that He loved so this account shows a very tender side of Christ.  Moreover, this miracle is the indisputable proof of Jesus' claim that "I Am the resurrection and the life" (John 11:25). Death is the terrible horror that sprang up from sin entering the world (Romans 5:12 & James 1:15). Physical death is a picture of what sin does in the spiritual realm. Religious leaders still would not accept Christ.   Good morning to all of our Readers.   Jesus continued to teach the people that He was Jehovah, the Good Shepherd. He wanted to display the love of God in sending His own Son to earth to die as the perfect Lamb of God on the cross. He wanted to tell them that mercy was  available  to all who trusted in Christ.  Jesus the Good Shepherd loves His sheep. John 10:14-15  I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.  15) As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.  Jesus continued speaking to the same audience composed of common people, Pharisees, scribes along with priests and Sadducees. Make no mistake about this. When Jesus said "I Am the good shepherd" the Jewish  people knew He was saying that He was Jehovah, the good shepherd that David wrote about in Psalm 23.  Since the book of  Psalms  is the Hebrew hymnal the Jewish people would readily recognize the pictur...
