Good morning! It is a stunningly beautiful early fall day in Northeastern Ohio.
The air is clean and invigorating and the humidity is low, making it a very comfortable environment.
The sunlight is changing color from the summer shades to a more clear quality of light.

Pastor Alvis asked me to continue teaching Sunday School so that he has more time to study for his sermons.
We are looking at revivals that occurred under the good kings of Judah.
This lesson looks at the good things that happened under the guidance of a faithful high priest named Jehoiada, and how he shaped a young king to be used of God.
Jehoiada brought the people back to the Mosaic covenant. God is always faithful and now His people must also be faithful.
Jehoiada restored the godly standards that the LORD led King David to establish, and we looked at the thoroughness of what David to prepare for his son Solomon to build a magnificent temple for Jehovah.
We learned that revival comes when we ask for the old paths established by God and then determine to walk in His ways to find rest for our soul.
We learned that Joash started very well in serving God thanks to the steady influence of Jehoiada.
Joash gave a command to repair the house of God but the Levites and priests were slow to obey.
He rebuked Jehoiada for not getting the Levites and priests moving on the task of repairing the Temple.
We learned that delayed obedience in repairing the house of God dishonored the LORD.
We saw the king take action to ensure that the offerings and tithes were brought in by all the people and we saw that the people cheerfully and willingly gave them.
The Temple was properly repaired and the sacrifices and ceremonies of Jehovah worship were observed all the days that Jehoiada the high priest lived.
Thus, we learned that revival produces the fruits of sacrificial giving, careful restorative work and refreshed worship.
Jehoiada died at age 130 and was greatly honored by the people because he did good to Israel and to the LORD.
He was buried with the kings, which was a high honor for a priest.
However, after Jehoiada's death, King Joash began listening to voices other than God's voice.
He swiftly plunged Judah into idolatry and God swiftly sent judgment to punish them.
We learned that there is a grave danger in listening to any voice other than what God says to us in His wonderful Word.
We also saw that the sin of idolatry extinguishes revival.
I hope this lesson will be a blessing to each one who is able to view the livestream.
Bob
