Psalm 15:1  A Psalm of David. LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?  King David loved the LORD and served Him well throughout his life as a shepherd, a warrior, a king and the sweet Psalmist of Israel. In this Psalm he asked two important questions. "Who shall abide in the LORD's tabernacle?" and "Who shall dwell in His holy hill?" Let us consider the first question "Who shall abide in the LORD's tabernacle?" We must remember that the tabernacle was a portable worship center designed by God with a pattern given to Moses to build it. The book of Exodus contains most of the details about this structure and an accurate scale model below helps us visualize what it may have looked like. This is a Psalm of David, written while he was king over a united Israel. It is a Psalm that applied to David's time, but it is also prophetic in that it looked forward to Israel's apostasy that resulted in God sending them into Babylonian captivity for seventy years. Psalm 14:1  To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. This truth is also found in the Book of Proverbs written by King David's son, Solomon. This truth has applied to all people since the fall of Adam into sin. Only a fool would ever say or believe that God does not exist. I feel empathy for young people who are indoctrinated by public education to believe that evolution is a fact, not a theory of origins. Psalm 13:1-6  To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?  2  How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?  3  Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;  4  Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.  5  But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.  6  I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.  King David is the author of this Psalm and in it he poured out his complaints to the LORD.
